Laburnum

Poisonous plants/plants that prick

Plants cannot run away when they come under attack from for example insects, birds or people. They use other means to avoid being devoured.

A whole plant or parts of the plant may be poisonous, or it may grow thorns as a means of defence.

The laburnum has attractive flowers in spring but be sure to wash your fingers if you pick them, because the entire plant is extremely poisonous.
