The bat
On mild spring evenings when there are plenty of insects in the air, the bat can be seen hunting between the tops of trees. Bats use echo location.
A high pitched sound is emitted and the animal calculates from the echo exactly where its prey is situated.
Many people think bats are rather scary but the Danish bat is a peaceful creature, eating only insects.
